Various large-scale protests scheduled to be held in Seoul this weekend are likely to cause heavy traffic delays.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, a rally will be held Saturday by temporary school workers from 1-4 p.m. in front of the Culture Park in the Yeouido area.

Later in the day, from 2-7 p.m., a civic group will hold a protest against the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye near the Supreme Court in the Seocho District.

Organizers said they will march from the court to the Samsung Life Insurance building near Gangnam Station, along Seocho-daero.

On Sunday afternoon, members of a delivery union will stage a rally and march, blocking five lanes of Eulji-ro near Seoul City Hall.

The police are warning drivers of traffic congestion along Yeoui-daero, Sejong-daero, Eulji-ro and Namdaemun-ro due to these events, and recommending the use of public transportation.
