Han River water levels continue to rise after days of heavy rain.
A flood advisory has been issued for areas around the Hangang Bridge in Seoul, for the first time in nine years, as days of monsoon rains have caused the Han River to swell.
The advisory was issued at 11 a.m. Thursday as water levels rose past 8.2 meters.
According to the Han River Flood Control Office, levels increased overnight as water discharged from the Paldang and Soyang dams reached the capital.
Riverside parks, embankments and streams have been flooded while the Jamsu Bridge remains submerged and blocked off to vehicles and pedestrians.
