The Seoul Metropolitan Government says it is bringing COVID-19 testing to vulnerable and high-risk groups in the capital.

Acting Seoul Mayor Seo Jeong-hyup said mobile testing centers are being dispatched to offer free screening to people who have difficulty walking, shift workers and those who are unable to make time to get tested.

Seo noted there could many silent spreaders of the virus in the community, and he said identifying them is key to containing the spread of infections.

Mobile testing sites have already been set up at the Seoul Distribution Center in the Songpa District for over 8,000 delivery workers and at the 120 Dasan Call Center in the Dongdaemun area.

The city also plans to operate a mobile center at Marronnier Park in Daehangno for the elderly and another at Seoul Metro's Line 9 train garage for public transportation workers.

Other mobile testing centers are expected to serve nursing homes, churches and daycare centers in the coming days.
