Free Flu Vaccines Now Available For Adults 62-69

Free flu vaccinations started on Monday for adults aged 62 to 69.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said people born between 1951 and 1958 can receive the flu vaccines.
Some 15.8 million people in South Korea fall in this age range.
Free flu shots for those 70 and older began a week ago.
Amid public concern over the deaths of dozens of people who were recently administered vaccines, the government has reiterated it does not plan to suspend the state-led program, which will continue through the end of the year.
KDCA chief Jung Eun-kyeong has recommended people get the shot when they are feeling healthy and to inform medical personnel of any underlying conditions, such as chronic diseases or allergies, beforehand.
Jung also said plenty of rest is important after getting the flu vaccine.
