Early winter-like conditions continue to be observed in regions across the country following last weekend's sudden cold snap.
Mount Seorak in the northeast got its first dusting of white powder on Tuesday, 15 days earlier than last year.
The Seoraksan National Park Office said snowflakes began falling around 10 a.m. near Jungcheong Shelter, which is located over 1,600 meters above sea level.
The mercury had plunged to 0.4 degrees Celsius, but park officials said the dusting was too light and the snow didn't stick.
