SM Entertainment has announced it will hold a free concert on New Year's Day featuring its top artists.

The management agency said Monday the event is aimed at comforting those struggling around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic.

TVXQ, Super Junior, Taeyeon from Girls' Generation, SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Baekhyun and Kai, Red Velvet and NCT are among the acts that will perform.

The "SMTOWN Live" concert will be live-streamed Friday, at 1 p.m. Korea time, on social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter and Beyond Live, an online channel run by Naver.
