Typhoon Bavi left South Korea early Thursday, leaving only minor damage such as broken windows and toppled trees.

The storm temporarily knocked out power to more than 1,600 households.

Authorities said there were no immediate reports of casualties due to the storm.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Bavi was located around 50 kilometers northwest of the North Korean capital of Pyongyang as of 9 a.m.

It is forecast to weaken into an extratropical cyclone as it passes near Harbin, China around 9 p.m.

Rain clouds are expected to linger over Seoul, Gyeonggi and parts of Gangwon Province.

The wet weather should taper in most regions during the afternoon hours, with a chance of light showers for inland areas.
