Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors' midfielder Kim Bo-kyung has been sidelined by an ankle injury.

The K League 1 club revealed Monday that Kim will miss up to six weeks of action to heal a partial ligament tear in his left ankle and get himself back into shape.

He suffered the injury in a violent tackle by Ulsan Hyundai FC defender Kim Kee-hee in the 24th minute of their match on Sunday.

Kim Bo-kyung was voted the league MVP last season while playing for Ulsan, and joined Jeonbuk over the offseason.
